This posting is a few weeks late, however I don’t think that it’s too late to mention it anyway. For the past two years we’ve dropped by Schubas to visit The Indie Arts Market. The market is a great collection of local and independent artists from different neighborhoods all throughout Chicago showing off their work. You can find just about every kind of craft here; jewelery, screen prints and paintings to name a few. Last year I bought a great poster of the Chicago flag that was made of reusable items from a cool little company called Reuse First. I had the chance to speak to Jeremiah of Reuse First again this year was not disappointed in their company or the cool things they are working on. I was unable to make it around to all the artists and speak to them, however of the ones I did talk to, I was very excited to meet them and possibly work with them someday. If anything I hope I made a couple more friends. So, here are the three artists that I was able to talk with and get to know a bit. Check them out, I hope you like their work as much as we do.
