Scared Panda T-Shirt

The Story: What kind of t-shirt company would we be if we didnt brand a t-shirt with our own logo? This shirt encapsulates two of our great loves; pandas and big headphones.

The Artist: Brenna Martin

The Shirt: This is a Kelly green t-shirt made of white cotton short sleeve crew neck from American Apparel’s 2001 Fine Jersey collection and is available in unisex sizes(S,M,L,XL). As well as being a soft cotton t-shirt, the image was printed using a water-based printing method that leaves the image soft to the touch and you wondering if there is even an image printed on the shirt at all.

Tall Bike Love T-Shirt

The Story: Tall bikes are awesome and there’s no way you can walk the streets of Chicago in the summer without seeing someone riding 6 feet above you. When we see these bikes around town it seems as if they are as tall as the Sears Tower; and that is where the love comes in. This shirt represents the love we have for the Sears Tower and how we will never let go and call it the Willis Tower. The Tall Bike Love design is the idea of our friend George Gonzalez in addition to our curiosity of the proper way to hop off one of these bikes.

The Artist: The artist who brought this idea to life is the brilliant Brian Duffy. B Duffy is a designer and cartoonist from Chicago. He enjoys dining, indie rock, and Tina Fey (and really who doesn’t?).

The Cause: 10% of every sale of the Tall Bike Love shirt will go to to help Brian’s organization of choice which is the Maryville Academy. Maryville Academy is a Catholic childcare organization determined to help & empower at-risk children to rebuild their lives and better their communities. The academy has been helping children for the past 125 years. We are extremely excited to be working with and helping out Maryville Academy.

Tamale! Tamale! T-Shirt

The Story: Our love for tamales is never ending. It started when we created the Tamale Tracker on Twitter and now we’ve created the little red cooler cartoon as our view into the world of the Chicago Tamale Guy on a soft little t-shirt. Tamale! Tamale! is the first of hopefully many t-shirts to roll off the Scared Panda production line. The design is symbolic of all that is good in the world of late night eats in Chicago. You know the nights, you’re hungry but you just put $8 into the jukebox at Innertown, so you’re not going anywhere. When all of a sudden, out of the shadows of the bar, you hear those few powerful words, “Tamale! Tamale!” and out pops that great man and his little red cooler packed with delicious goodness. $5 and a few queso tamales later you are back to tapping your foot enjoying your PBR.

The Shirt: An ultra-soft, ultra-comfy unisex t-shirt that feels like you’ve owned it for years the moment you put it on, and for years to come. This is one of the softest shirts we’ve ever put on. It comes in unisex sizes S, M, L and XL. This shirt is a lovely heather blue and made up of poly-cotton (50% Polyester / 50% Cotton) construction. Additionally, the shirt has a durable rib neckband and fits slimmer than American Apparel 2001 fit.

The Artist: The Tamale! Tamale! design is from the talented and local designer Kimberly McGuire.

The Cause:10% of every sale of this t-shirt will go to benefit Esperanza Community Services. Esperanza Community Services serves individuals from 5 years of age to adulthood who have mild to profound developmental disabilities, emotional disturbances, behavior disorders, autism and other forms of cognitive challenges. We look forward to helping them out.
