Scared Panda started in 2009 in our tiny Chicago apartment and was born out of our desire to make an impact in our community. To do this, we started making t-shirts that reflect the subcultures of Chicago and putting money from the sales of the shirts into an organization that makes a difference in the community. For every shirt we sell, we donate 10% to support a nonprofit that makes an impact in the community.
In 2011, we moved to New York City and quickly realized how much we missed our home state of Minnesota and the community that we used to belong to. We began creating t-shirts that reflected the things we love about Minnesota and soon realized that this is what we are meant to do. Not just create t-shirts, but get involved in and make a difference in the community that inspires us.
In early 2012, we packed up and moved back to Minneapolis. We began working with Minnesota Computers for Schools, an organization that provides students in Minnesota with access to technology, helping them build the skills they need for success in school and in the workforce. You can learn more about how your purchase enables Minnesota Computers for Schools to transform the lives of students in Minnesota on our Giving Back page.
